Lead Pharmacist – Early Intervention in Psychosis (Band 8a)
📍 Worthing (Trust-wide role across Sussex – flexible base)
🕒 30 hours per week | Part‑time, flexible or compressed hours considered
About the role
We’re seeking an exceptional clinical pharmacist and independent prescriber to lead medicines optimisation across our Early Intervention in Psychosis Services (EIPS).
This is a Trust‑wide leadership role with real impact, supporting young people and adults experiencing a first episode of psychosis, and working closely with clinicians and operational leads across six EIPS teams in Sussex.
You’ll combine expert clinical practice, prescribing, education and system leadership, shaping medicines use at service, Trust and IC level.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading medicines optimisation across all EIPS teams
* Providing expert clinical advice, education and training
* Running patient‑facing clinics and prescribing within EIPS
* Supporting shared care, guidance and policy development
* Working collaboratively with clinicians, operational leads and IC partners
* This role offers flexibility in base location, with part‑time and home‑working options available.
What we’re looking for
* Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Independent Prescriber with significant mental health experience
* Strong clinical pharmacy expertise within working‑age mental health
* Confidence working across multidisciplinary and system‑wide settings
* A passion for early intervention, recovery and improving long‑term outcomes
