Join to apply for the Early Communication Support Workers role at East Sussex County Council.
Our Early Communication Support Workers provide communication and language support to families referred due to concerns about a child’s speech, language and communication development. They work with families in their homes and in Family Hubs and Community Venues, and work in line with the East Sussex Early Years Speech, Language and Communication Pathway.
Responsibilities
* Support parents/carers understanding of their child’s speech, language and communication needs and how they can support them
* Plan, deliver and evaluate interventions for families where a child’s early speech, language and communication is delayed
* Implement the key principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Qualifications
* RQF level 3 qualification in Early Years Care and Education
* Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people in a clear, concise and accurate manner, adapting messages to suit different audiences, including developing effective relationships with families and other professionals
* Experience of working with children 0–5 years old and their families on a one-to-one basis and in a group setting
* Experience identifying communication and language delay in young children

Hours
Hours available:
* 1 x 30 hours per week
* 1 x 24 hours per week
