The role (Demand Planner)
Reporting into our Procurement Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for forecasting and purchasing stock aligned to market and business needs, while keeping costs under control and availability high.
You’ll be doing things like:
* Forecasting demand using sales data, trends, seasonality and commercial inputs
* Managing purchasing and inventory to avoid stockouts/overstock
* Building strong supplier relationships and providing quarterly forecasts
* Supporting supplier negotiations (with occasional travel to key suppliers — typically once per year)
* Joining regular S&OP conversations with Sales and Logistics to stay aligned
* Tracking forecast accuracy and driving continuous improvement
* Reporting on product availability, service levels, stock breakdowns and forecast performance
What we’re looking for
* Experience in demand planning / purchasing (2+ years)
* Strong numerical skills + confident Excel user
* Comfortable analysing data and making data‑led decisions
* Experience with ERP/forecasting/planning tools (e.g. SAP, Netsuite, Oracle or similar) is a plus
* Proactive, collaborative, forward‑thinking and practical
