Position: Humanities Teacher
We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Humanities Teacher to join a committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for History, Geography, Religious Education, or Citizenship to deliver engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a global perspective.
You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on your specialism and experience. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic Humanities faculty and have the flexibility to teach one or more subjects within the department. The role begins in September 2025.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Humanities subjects (e.g., History, Geography, RE, Citizenship).
2. Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, encouraging analytical thinking and discussion.
3. Prepare students for GCSE examinations, providing effective feedback and support.
4. Foster a classroom environment that values enquiry, empathy, and critical reflection.
5. Contribute to curriculum development and cross-curricular initiatives.
6. Support wider school life through trips, clubs, or enrichment activities related to Humanities.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
2. A degree in a Humanities-related subject (e.g., History, Geography, Theology, Politics).
3. Strong subject knowledge and versatility across more than one area of Humanities.
4. Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills.
5. A passion for fostering students’ understanding of the world and their place in it.
6. A reflective practitioner who values collaboration and inclusion.
