Are you passionate about education and eager to play a vital role in a student's learning journey? We are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in Monmouth. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity to support both students and teachers in a rewarding and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Supporting Students
* Provide academic and emotional support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
* Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help pupils stay engaged and make progress.
* Encourage student participation, focus, and confidence in the classroom.
Supporting Teachers
* Prepare learning resources, classroom materials, and displays.
* Assist with lesson delivery and help manage classroom behaviour.
* Offer valuable feedback on student progress to support planning and development.
Administrative & Classroom Tasks
* Support in marking basic classwork and homework under teacher direction.
* Maintain student records and assist in keeping the classroom organised and welcoming.
* Supervise students during lessons, breaks, and off-timetable activities.
Pastoral & Emotional Support
* Build strong relationships with students, serving as a positive role model.
* Contribute to the social and emotional development of learners through mentoring and encouragement.

Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or support setting.
* A positive, adaptable attitude and a genuine passion for supporting learning.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* An understanding of the secondary school environment is beneficial.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, applicants must:
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
* Possess an Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
* Provide two professional references related to education or childcare.
