Bodyshop Manager
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £47,500 Basic – £71,500 OTE
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (50 hours per week, including paid breaks)
Our client is currently looking for an experienced Bodyshop Manager to lead their accident repair centre in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and rapidly growing automotive repair group, committed to delivering exceptional service, quality workmanship, and a supportive team culture.
The successful candidate will oversee daily operations in a modern, clean working environment and play a key role in maintaining high repair standards, supporting the team, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role would suit a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a solid background in bodyshop or accident repair centre management.
Key Responsibilities as a Bodyshop Manager
1. Open the workshop and ensure the team and equipment are ready for the 7:00am start
2. Lead daily team briefings to communicate targets, allocate workloads, and address challenges
3. Maintain proper use of equipment, tools, and uniforms to support staff safety and comfort
4. Liaise with the Regional Manager regarding workflow, vehicle updates, and potential issues
5. Ensure timely and accurate customer updates using internal systems
6. Order parts in advance to ensure a smooth repair process
7. Manage the volume of work coming in and currently being handled by the site
8. Ensure job documentation is complete, including 10-stage repair images
9. Monitor and maintain wet and dry stock levels
10. Maintain high standards of quality control across all repair stages
Candidate Requirements for a Bodyshop Manager
11. Previous experience in a similar bodyshop management or accident repair leadership role
12. Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes and workshop operations
13. Highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise under pressure
14. Excellent communication and team leadership skills
15. Confident using IT systems and workshop management software
16. A proactive and supportive management style
