SEN Learning Support Assistant – Brent
Location: Brent, London, UK
Job Type: Full Time, Temporary
Start Date: 13 March 2026
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Term Time Only)
Salary: £90–£100 per day
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates may apply for candidates with strong subject knowledge or previous classroom experience. Pay is in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
Teach Now is recruiting a patient and proactive SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Brent.
This role involves supporting students with additional learning needs within mainstream classrooms, helping them stay focused, confident and engaged throughout the school day.
You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to provide consistent in-class support, helping students who may experience challenges with focus, behaviour or emotional regulation.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide in-class support for students with a range of SEN needs
• Help students stay focused and engaged during lessons
• Support pupils who may experience behavioural or emotional challenges
• Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral staff to implement support strategies
• Provide feedback on student progress and wellbeing where required

Requirements
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting
• A calm, patient and resilient approach when supporting students
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Commitment to supporting students with additional learning and emotional needs
• Experience supporting SEN, SEMH or behavioural needs, or previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant, would be advantageous.
