What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join Galliford Try.
You will work on our Infrastructure project and frameworks. Ideally, you will be based locally, although we are open to subsidising relocation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage project delivery outputs including programme, financials, health & safety, environmental performance, and progress for all schemes.
2. Manage staff at various levels, providing leadership, staff development, retention, recruitment, and mentoring.
3. Interact professionally with senior client representatives.
4. Understand NEC contract conditions and possess commercial awareness.
5. Manage multiple projects across the Framework, ensuring delivery against KPIs and PIs.
6. Ensure projects comply with Health & Safety, CDM, and environmental regulations.
7. Review/subcontractor RAMS, Impact Assessments, and environmental legislation.
8. Ensure compliance with company safety, environmental, and quality systems.
9. Liaise with clients to meet or exceed KPIs within budget.
10. Manage project teams with clear objectives and responsibilities.
11. Assist Regional Manager with resource utilisation.
12. Oversee financial performance, profit/loss of projects.
13. Produce performance reports and participate in reviews.
14. Ensure compliance with commercial and financial procedures.
15. Handle price variations and final accounts.
16. Prepare estimates, quotations, and vet tenders.
17. Develop and maintain detailed project programmes.
18. Coordinate with tendering, design, and other departments.
19. Lead in developing new opportunities and pre-construction tenders.
20. Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and teams.
21. Ensure timely procurement of resources.
22. Manage testing, commissioning, and client training.
23. Attend meetings and site visits.
24. Ensure contract documentation is completed per client specs and closeout timescales.
About You:
* Industry applicable ONC/HNC/NVQ or equivalent.
* IOSH or CITB SMSTS certification.
* CSCS card.
* Experience with NEC contracts.
* Experience in water/sewage industries.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office.
* Team player with ability to work independently.
* Good time management and prioritisation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proactive attitude and team support.
* Decision-making skills for project success.
