Support Worker for Specialist Day Centre

A specialist day centre is looking for a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join their busy care services for young people with moderate and severe SEN and complex needs. The setting currently provides support to 50+ individuals with diverse needs and disabilities, united by a love of learning and education. Their mission is to help these young people make life happen, making your role as a support worker vital.
This position is available on a part-time, permanent basis starting ASAP. The role is required all year round, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. For the part-time role, a minimum of 3 days per week is needed.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting with life skills
* Assisting with homework, study, and educational activities
* Promoting independence among the individuals supported
* Supporting with personal care needs
* Dealing with complex needs
* Liaising with other agencies and families when necessary
Skills required:
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with agencies
* Kind, nurturing, and committed attitude towards supporting SEN learners
* Experience in the care sector (desirable)
* Eligibility to work in the UK
