At Dogs Trust, we are looking for a passionate and highly organised Business Manager to support our Deputy CEO and senior leadership team. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the smooth running of the newly formed DCEO Office, managing diaries, emails and independent projects, while providing high-level support across the directorate.
About You:
As a Business Manager you will:
* Manage the Deputy CEO's inbox and diary, prioritising actions, reallocating requests, and ensuring effective time management across competing demands.
* Act as the first point of contact and trusted representative for the Deputy CEO, building strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
* Prepare and quality-check high-level briefings, papers, and submissions for the Executive Leadership Team, Committees, and Board.
* Provide secretariat support for the Management Board and lead the smooth coordination of meetings, communications, and associated administration.
* Oversee and deliver a variety of administrative and business projects, monitoring risks and opportunities while supporting budget and resource management.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised professional who has supported senior leaders as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or Executive Business Manager. The role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively, use initiative, solve problems effectively, manage complex and confidential information, and remain calm under pressure. Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills, experience in minute-taking and correspondence, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong attention to detail are essential.
About the team
The Deputy CEO Office (DCEO) plays a key role in overseeing Dogs Trust's internal operations, ensuring the effective management of the Charity's financial, legal, IT, efficiencies, facilities, and governance functions. The Directorate works closely with senior leadership to support the organisation's Rehoming Centres, prevention programmes, and international efforts. Its focus is on ensuring smooth internal processes and great customer service, that enable delivery of the mission and strategic goals of the UK's largest dog welfare charity.
