The Role


As a Business Development Manager for Envitia, the role will play a key role in driving Envitia’s growth by identifying, shaping and winning new business opportunities. You will be accountable for securing new deals that contribute directly to our market presence and revenue growth.


Focusing on the public sector and defence markets, you will expand Envitia’s customer base and actively contribute to the development and execution of our business development strategy. The role centres on winning new services, solutions and consulting-led engagements, building long-term value for both our clients and the business.


You will generate opportunities through a combination of your established industry network and by leveraging existing Envitia relationships across our client base. Working closely with Senior Business Development Managers, Account Directors and Sector Leads, you will also collaborate with teams across Delivery, Consulting, Commercial, Marketing and Operations. You will own the opportunity lifecycle end-to-end, from initial engagement through to contract award.


This role suits someone with a consultative approach, strong relationship-building skills and the ability to understand customer challenges and shape compelling solutions.


Job Responsibilities


* Win consulting- and service-led opportunities within the UK public sector and defence markets, contributing to Envitia’s overall sales strategy and revenue growth.
* Build, manage and accurately forecast a strong personal sales pipeline, maintaining predictable future revenue.
* Develop and own key relationships with new and existing customers, driving high levels of satisfaction, retention and loyalty.
* Identify and secure new clients and expand into new sectors in line with Envitia’s strategy and roadmap.
* Apply a consultative, customer-centric sales approach, demonstrating a strong understanding of customer challenges, market trends and competitive dynamics.
* Work closely with the Head of Sales on account planning, deal strategy and closure plans for target accounts.
* Actively contribute to pipeline and deal reviews, including large or strategic opportunities.
* Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Marketing, Consulting, Engineering and Delivery to shape and deliver compelling solutions.
* Contribute to the development of partnership strategies across the public sector and defence markets, while adhering to Envitia’s sales methodologies and processes.


Required Skills and Experience


Essential


* Experience of identifying, shaping and wining new business in the public sector or defence markets.
* Knowledge of public sector departments, understanding of challenges they face and their strategies.
* Ability to work with a range of stakeholders, including C-Suite.
* Experience of selling services (not products) within public sector markets
* Some experience of consultative selling approach, taking time to understand our digital transformation challenges and opportunities and sharing innovative solutions.
* Experience of contributing to tenders / commercial bids to define winning strategy for success.


Desirable

* Experience of shaping go-to-market offerings to deliver unique value propositions to create a competitive advantage for Envitia.
* Ability to discuss contract terms and conditions with customers and negotiate positive commercial outcomes.


Security Clearance Requirements


The successful candidate must hold or be required to go through an SC security clearance.


Location


The role will require travel to our Horsham offices 2 days a month and travel to customer sites when required.
