About The Opportunity
* Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
* This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote, with flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever best suits you.
You may contribute your expertise by…
* Reading English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
* Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
* Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text.
Examples of Desirable Expertise
* Experience as a professional writer or editor.
* Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline.
* Strong writing style, excellent English spelling and grammar, as well as logic and reasoning skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of texts.
Payment
* Average pay rate for core project work by English writing experts in the US is USD $15 per hour.
* Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. Non-core work, such as onboarding or overtime, may have different rates. Some projects offer incentives. Please review payment terms for each project.
