We are seeking an experienced and skilled Transport Operator. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising transportation operations. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for efficiently planning and coordinating transportation activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Transport Operator - Responsibilities:
Track and monitor driver progress throughout the day, ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed within agreed timescales.
Answer incoming telephone calls from drivers and other network depots, providing assistance with queries as required.
Monitor the designated email inbox and ensure all emails are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
Resolve financial queries within the network.
Debrief drivers daily, ensuring paperwork is submitted for all work.
Transport Operator - Requirements:
Knowledge of transportation planning principles and practices.
Experience and knowledge of the Pallet Network is preferable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Transport Operator - Remunerations:
Salary £30,000
Standard holiday + Bank holidays
Mon - Fri 7:00/17:00 and 10:00/20:00 alternating weekly.
Saturday AM shift requires once in 8 weeks.
