A warm, forward-thinking Ealing primary is recruiting a nurturing and creative Reception Teacher to join its Early Years team on a full-time basis from January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Reception Teacher to take responsibility for shaping the crucial first term of statutory education: you will plan, deliver and assess high quality, play-based provision as the Reception Teacher and you will foster children's curiosity, language and number sense from January 2026. The successful Reception Teacher will attend a structured induction in January 2026, be involved in pre-term planning during the weeks before January 2026, and will teach the class in post from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher.

Reception Teacher Responsibilities
The Reception Teacher will: lead daily phonics sessions and shared reading as the Reception Teacher; design indoor and outdoor continuous provision that deepens vocabulary and independence as the Reception Teacher; deliver structured adult-led maths and mark-making sessions as the Reception Teacher; complete formative assessment and communicate outcomes to families as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will prepare transition work and contribute to whole-school events, participating in moderation and review cycles from January 2026.
Reception Teacher Requirements
We are seeking a Reception Teacher with QTS (or equivalent), strong EYFS practice and confident phonics delivery. The Reception Teacher should be reflective, organised and experienced in working with families. Availability for pre-term planning before January 2026, attendance at induction in January 2026, and the ability to start in post from January 2026 is essential.
