What you’ll be doing as a Construction Engineer
Supporting essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
Focussed on the construction phase of projects, assessing and reporting project progress, acting to rectify issues, and taking the lead on the escalation process if necessary. Managing identification and resolution of snags and after Take Over liaising with Operators and contractors to handle the defects and aftercare process’ and performance testing.
Monitored, agreed on, and approved Takeover tests with the project team.
Ensure that the required project documentation meets our specifications and approve information for taking over.
Working as an active member of one or more project teams with one or more of our contractors.
Hybrid – Maple Lodge or Hampton Coal Wharf - Hybrid.
As part of this role, you will be required to be on site 3-4 days a week, 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
this role will come with a car allowance.
Have an HNC or above in an appropriate engineering subject or background in a similar role.
Knowledge of health and safety on construction sites or holding of SMSTS qualification; Understand design, construction, and operations within industries like the water sector.
Have a background in project delivery within the construction sector.
Foster a positive Health and safety culture within the team and contractors, ensuring we assert all environmental and Health and safety statutory obligations.

~ Competitive salary from £40,000 per annum to £55,000 per annum.
~ Car allowance of £4,500 a year.
~26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
