Job Description
We are seeking a talented and energetic Weekend Breakfast Chef to join our catering team in Knottingley. As the Weekend Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a canteen style breakfast. This role requires excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Plan and prepare a variety of breakfast items, ensuring high quality and consistency
* Manage the breakfast kitchen operations during weekend shifts
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and timely food preparation
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
* Monitor and control food costs, minimizing waste while maintaining quality
* Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
* Adapt to changing customer needs and dietary requirements
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a breakfast chef or in a similar culinary role
* Strong knowledge of breakfast food preparation techniques and trends
* Excellent understanding of food safety principles and hygiene standards
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong time management and multitasking skills
* Team player with good communication abilities
* Current Food Safety Certification required
* Experience in high-volume breakfast service
* Knowledge of various dietary restrictions and allergens
* Ability to work early morning hours and weekends
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
