The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality. Ideally as an experienced restaurant manager. You will be expected to help oversee daily operations of our award winning restaurant. Extensive food & wine knowledge is preferable, strong team management skills and effective communication are essential attributes. Ensuring our guests receive exceptional service in a welcoming environment. As a leader in our restaurant, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service while fostering a positive atmosphere for both staff and customers. You will be expected to get stuck in with service. You will be part of the team service taking food orders, controlling the bookings whilst working closely with the chef owner. Customer experience is at the forefront of what we do, you will be expected to maintain the current service structure and slot into our team seamlessly with little training needed.
The position is Full Time – 35 to 42 hours per week. 4 days a week Wednesday – Saturday and the occasional Sunday Lunchtime (1 a month). You will work a spilt shift across 4 days a week. Christmas Day – 27thDecember off every year. Plus 1 week – 10 days off during January.
Responsibilities
* Manage bookings, table plans and deposits daily
* Cleaning duties to ensure the restaurant is kept to a high standard
* Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and high-quality communication
* Manage staff during service whilst providing guidance on serving practices
* Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and health standards
* Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations
* Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and communication - we are small team and work closely with one another
* Handle customers professionally to ensure satisfaction
Experience
* Proven experience in a restaurant management role or similar supervisory position
* Strong hospitality experience with knowledge of food and drinks is essential
* Previous experience in hospitality or hotel settings is advantageous
* Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively, with strong leadership skills
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is necessary
* Experience as a barista or in serving roles is beneficial
