You’ll help us make health happen by:
* Taking responsibility for the well-being of our residents and ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met
* Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals
* Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each resident
* Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to the relevant standards, policies and legislation
Responsibilities and duties
* Take responsibility for the well-being of residents and ensure comprehensive care is delivered
* Lead and support the care team with clinical duties and day-to-day management of the unit
* Administer and order medication, review care plans, and provide clinical guidance to the team
* Deliver best practice and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
Key Skills / Qualifications
* As a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin, manage the unit alongside clinical duties in the home, overseeing care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and evaluating care plans, and providing clinical guidance
* Experience in maintaining high clinical standards and ensuring policies are followed
* Ability to provide clinical guidance for care teams and support with CQC tasks
* Strong relationship-building with residents and their families, providing kindness, support and high-quality care
* Effective communication and reporting skills to handover clinical issues to team members and health care professionals
* If working at night, ability to work independently with strong critical thinking, calmness in emergencies and capacity to manage care staff
