Youll also support MOD maintenance teams, complete inspection programmes and keep accurate maintenance records.Key responsibilitiesRepair, maintain and service plant, equipment and mechanical handling equipmentCarry out inspections in line with LOLER and PUWER requirementsComplete planned maintenance, servicing and unscheduled repairsDiagnose faults and ensure equipment is safe and operationalMaintain accurate maintenance records and update fleet information systemsSupport the delivery, collection, exchange and handover of equipmentMaintain local stocks of spares, attachments and ancillariesProvide technical support to MOD maintenance staff where appropriateFollow safe systems of work and company health and safety proceduresManage your own time effectively when working remotelyRemove unsafe equipment from use when requiredSupport weekend work, out-of-hours duties and callouts when requiredWhat were looking forCity & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in mechanical engineeringExperience maintaining plant, MHE, forklifts, mechanical handling equipment or similar machineryUnderstanding of health and safety requirementsKnowledge of PUWER and LOLERComputer literate with the ability to update maintenance systemsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsGood communication and customer service skillsFull UK driving licenceDesirable experienceHGV licenceForklift, MHE, plant or agricultural machinery backgroundDefence, MOD, military vehicle or specialist equipment experienceMobile engineer or field service experienceThis is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who wants a secure, varied and well-supported role working on specialist equipment within a defence environment.Apply now to be considered for this Field Service Engineer Plant / MHE opportunity in Larkhill, Salisbury.TPBN1_UKTJ
