Production Operative Location: Port Clarence 1 position for B shift and 1 position for C shift About the Role We’re looking for Production Operatives to join our Port Clarence site. This is a hands-on, manual role working as part of a production team to safely meet daily cylinder production targets. You’ll rotate across different tasks, including: Loading and unloading cylinders Filling operations Supervised cylinder refurbishment The role involves working both indoors and outdoors on a rotated pattern. While you won’t be outside all the time, you should be comfortable working outdoors. What We’re Looking For Experience with manual handling or physical work Experience in hazardous or heavy industrial environments is an advantage but not essential Comfortable working with chemicals (full training provided) Willing to work safely and follow site procedures A team player with a good attitude and clear communication skills Key Responsibilities Work safely at all times and contribute to an incident-free workplace Report hazards, near misses, and incidents Meet production targets set by the Shift Lead or Supervisor Safely operate machinery and rotate across tasks as required Follow all work instructions, risk assessments, and safe systems of work Support new starters and contribute to continuous improvement Operate site FLTs (subject to licence) to move and load cylinders safely Training & Development Full on-site training provided – no previous chemical experience required FLT (Fork Lift Truck) licence desirable, but Calor will support you in obtaining your FLT licence through our training agreement package After 6 months, you’ll have the opportunity to apply to become a Cylinder Inspector, which offers an additional hourly allowance when operating that shift Clear progression opportunities to develop your skills and career Your Safety Comes First Your safety is our top priority.
