About The Role:
The role is based in a high-tech production environment where attention to detail is essential. We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals who are able to achieve accurate results to a very high standard and quality requirements.
This apprenticeship program will be a 4-year SVQ 3 course, attending Glasgow Clyde College (Anniesland Campus).This is a hybrid role combining academic and hands on industry training.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine bespoke high precision components to engineering drawings
Understand dimensions and tolerances on engineering drawings
Experience using vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges
Understand CNC machine operation and basic CNC programming
Working within ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards
Safe use of machine tools and materials
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 x National 5s which must include; Maths, English, Technical and a Science
Skills:
Problem solving
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn and successfully complete apprenticeship qualifications
Salary:
Year 1 - £18K + Benefits
Year 2 - £22K
Year 3 - £26K
Year 4 - £30K+
