Progress Chaser

Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced and confident full-time Progress Chaser to join our team.
This is a pivotal role in ensuring
that our projects are delivered on time and according to specified standards. To actively monitor and track progress, identify potential delays or bottlenecks, and communicate with relevant departments to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
Key responsibilities
* Tracking and monitoring:
* Monitor the progress of tasks and projects, throughout the entire process, from initiation to completion.
* Proactively identify potential delays, bottlenecks, or deviations from the planned schedule.
* Track the availability and timely supply of necessary materials, parts, or resources.
* Communication and coordination:
* Act as a central point of contact and liaison between different teams and departments.
* Communicate updates, progress reports, and potential issues to relevant parties, including managers, and other teams.
* Facilitate efficient communication and problem-solving to address obstacles and ensure smooth workflow.
* Problem-solving and issue resolution:
* Investigate and troubleshoot delivery issues, disruptions, or quality concerns.
* Work collaboratively with relevant teams to find solutions and implement corrective actions.
* Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate management level as needed.
* Administrative and support tasks:
* Maintain accurate records of progress, communications, and actions taken.
* Assist with various administrative tasks related to the progress chaser role.
* Support the overall department in meeting its objectives.
Required skills and qualifications
* Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a fast moving production environment is beneficial.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
* Organisation and time management: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail to identify inconsistencies or potential issues.
* Problem-solving: Proactive and solution-oriented approach to address challenges and overcome obstacles.
* Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
* Computer literacy: Proficiency in using relevant software and systems for tracking, communication, and data management.
Spur Electron Ltd is a family run company based in Havant and has been established since 1982.
Hours of work – Mon – Thurs 0730 – 1615
Fri – 0800 – 1215
Statutory holiday – 28 days (inc bank holidays).
Last Friday of every month we are closed and we close between Christmas and New Year (these days and Friday afternoons do not get deducted from the statutory holiday)
