Project Outline
Farrans is currently working on a major infrastructure project in Northern Ireland, aimed at enhancing the Northern Irish Water system to improve water quality and supply reliability, ensuring sustainable water services for the community.
Role outline
As a Graduate Civils Construction Engineer, you will collaborate with senior experts to optimize project costs and risks, ensuring quality and compliance with building regulations. You will have opportunities for travel to various construction sites and project locations.
Responsibilities include:
* Undertaking surveys and setting-out on site
* Preparing drawings and calculations to ensure quality control and compliance
* Monitoring construction progress to meet deadlines
* Liaising with clients and conducting site investigations
* Coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and other parties to ensure work is completed according to specifications
* Communicating with quantity surveyors about materials ordering and pricing
* Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and sustainability policies and legislation
Required Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree, HNC, or HND in an Engineering/Construction discipline
* Full UK manual driving license
* Passion for starting a career in civil/construction industry
* High attention to detail, meticulous planning and organizational skills
* Strong interest in engineering and a desire for a dynamic career
* Excellent communication skills, team flexibility, and hard-working attitude
