Private Client / Executry ParalegalCentral Edinburgh-based | office-based initially with hybrid working availableFull Time | 35 hours per week | Monday to Friday Permanent roleSalary up to £45,000 + excellent benefitsSearch Consultancy are currently working with a leading Edinburgh based Private Client law firm to recruit this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a full case-load of executry files independently within a wider team of Paralegals.*Please note that the salary level is dependant on experience - extensive relevant experience would be required to get the top end of the scale*Duties involved in this role will include:* Administer executries from initial meeting to conclusion * Proactively manage your own caseload and provide first class client service* Communicate with Executors and other third parties as required* Identify and resolve any problems experienced by clients in a professional manner* Demonstrate a good working knowledge of inheritance tax exemptions and reliefs, and be able to produce calculations* Completion of HMRC inheritance tax forms* Preparation of executry accounts* Utilising knowledge of legal rights including calculations and experience of the issues that can arise with executries* Build good relationships internally and advise colleagues with different specialisms* Adhere to firm processes in relation to financial policies, time recording and AML compliance* Maintain accurate records on the firm's document management systemIn order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:* Extensive previous experience within an Paralegal role dealing with executries - this experience is ESSENTIAL* A relevant formal Paralegal qualification would be preferred* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Excellent organisation & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise & complete a busy caseload effectivelyIf this is the role for you, apply now!Please note that only applicants who have the required skills and experience detailed above will be considered for this role.
