Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock, handling materials, and supporting various warehouse operations. Previous warehouse experience is preferred, and familiarity with equipment such as forklifts is an advantage. The position is fully paid, ensuring fair compensation for your efforts.
Duties
* Loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts where qualified
* Stocking shelves and organising inventory in accordance with warehouse procedures
* Managing shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
* Picking and packing orders accurately to meet project requirements
* Helping to develop warehouse management systems
* Handling materials with care, including heavy lifting of items up to specified weight limits
* Maintaining adequate stock levels
* Performing basic mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance
* Supporting construction and refurbishment activities through warehouse activities
* Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times during daily operations
Experience
* Prior experience working in a warehouse environment is desirable
* Knowledge & certification of forklift operation an advantage
* Experience in materials handling, stocking, picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes
* Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and equipment
* Construction or heavy lifting experience is a plus but not essential
* Proven ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

Pay: £12.21-£13.80 per hour
