This Desktop Support Engineer role will be working within our Desktop Services team, providing opportunities to work with talented individuals delivering Information Technology and Data Management solutions, leveraging the latest developments in systems and technology, while delivering a first-class service to our customers.
This is a full-time permanent role based in Aberdeen.
Requirements
Here are the key skills and experience relevant to this role:
* Providing remote and face-to-face support to customers in a professional, knowledgeable manner.
* Ensuring incidents and support requests are responded to promptly, with all escalations logged and assigned correctly.
* Collaborating with other IT teams and the business to resolve desktop-related issues effectively.
* Previous experience in end-user computing (EUC) or desktop support roles, in office-based or field-based settings.
* Experience working across multiple sites or customer environments is advantageous.
* Offshore experience is desirable, but willingness to undertake training and certifications is also welcomed.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset.
* Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and work with users at all levels.
Familiarity With
* Operating Systems: Windows 10/11 and Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022).
* Microsoft applications: Microsoft 365, Office, Teams.
* Basic hardware maintenance: e.g., replacing RAM, hard drives, or graphics cards.
* Support tools: ServiceNow, TopDesk, N-Able, or other service desk platforms.
* Cloud services and virtualization technologies, with hands-on experience or a strong willingness to learn.
Additional Requirements
* A full, clean UK driving license for travel across Scotland.
* Relevant IT certifications (such as ITIL) are a bonus but not essential if you have equivalent experience.
