Key Responsibilities
:
1. Lead and grow the dispute resolution team in Altrincham, with responsibility for managing and developing a high-quality commercial litigation caseload.
2. Collaborate closely with partners across other departments in the Altrincham office to generate and cross-sell work, fostering strong inter-team relationships.
3. Build and maintain excellent client relationships, demonstrating effective client relationship management skills.
4. Actively participate in business development initiatives and contribute to firm-wide growth strategies.
5. Mentor and support junior lawyers as the team expands, nurturing a high-performing and client-focused culture.
6. Work proactively to identify and secure new commercial opportunities within the wider client base.
What We’re Looking For:
7. Partner-level experience as a general commercial litigator, ideally with a track record of growing a client base and/or leading a team.
8. Demonstrable ability to build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues across multiple practice areas.
9. Strong business development skills with a proactive approach to cross-selling services internally and externally.
10. Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to grow a standalone dispute resolution practice within the office.
11. Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to the wider office culture and growth ambitions.
12. Experience or willingness to work across a variety of commercial disputes, managing complex and high-value matters.
