The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry. We are looking for an Operational Support Officer to provide an efficient and effective support service. You’ll be the first point of contact for business related enquiries, and you’ll gain an in-depth knowledge of the organisation and its processes whilst working with collaborators and customers, both internal and external. Administration will be a big part of your role; including venue, travel and equipment booking and preparation of paperwork. You'll use the information in our systems to produce reports and forecasts. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues to build relationships across the organisation, manage suppliers and the relationships with them, raising purchase orders and collating financial management requests and queries.
What we're looking for:
1. Confident IT user with experience of common office systems, procedures, equipment and facilities
2. Hold or be willing to work toward Business Administration qualifications.
3. Self-motivated, flexible and able to work unsupervised and as part of a team, solve problems and make decisions with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise a heavy and varied workload.
4. Experience of co-ordinating meetings and record management systems; with an eye for detail and accuracy.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills both written and verbal, at all levels and with external partnerships.
6. Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.

20. End to end administration duties including but not limited to; word processing, document copying and distribution, filing, record keeping, mail recording and distribution, email management, composing correspondence, granting WIFI access and updating processes.
21. Provide training to help onboard new starters and when necessary, manage the leavers process.
22. Provide effective reception service managing visitors and staff.
23. Plan co-ordinate and minute key meetings and conferences and ensure actions are tracked, completed, chasing progress where appropriate.
24. Provide professional personal assistant support service to senior management team including diary, expenses, travel, and accommodation management.
25. Efficient administration, end to end planning of constabulary operations and activities where appropriate, including venue, travel, subsistence, and equipment booking, preparation of course/activity related paperwork and liaising with CNC financial and stakeholder financial teams providing follow up services were required.
26. The co-ordination of internal and external meetings.
27. Provide localised support for other divisional functions such as estates, fleet managers.
28. Manage building and fleet maintenance issues, in close liaison/support with relevant management teams were applicable and working as the relative specialist function, co-ordinating, facilities, fleet maintenance and providing Fire Marshal, first aid at work and Health and Safety as appropriate.
29. Fluency in IT Skills, working knowledge of common office systems, procedures, equipment, and facilities ., Microsoft Office

34. Able to handle sensitive and confidential information including medical in confidence and personal information with complete discretion.
35. Ability to work to strict deadlines in a pressurised environment.
36. Ability to work with complex and multi-dimensional partnerships with proven writing skills.
