Electrical Installation Lecturer

Salary: £47 per hour (Umbrella)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Electrical Installation Lecturer to join our teaching team. You will deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students on electrical installation courses (Levels 1-3 and apprenticeships), inspiring them to reach their full potential with both practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging lessons in electrical installation (theory and practical)
* Teach across Levels 1-3 and apprenticeships, including adult learners
* Plan, prepare, and assess learning materials in line with awarding body standards (City & Guilds, EAL)
* Provide constructive feedback, academic support, and pastoral guidance
* Ensure teaching meets quality standards, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements
* Keep up to date with industry regulations and teaching practices (e.g. BS 7671 Wiring Regulations)
* Contribute to curriculum planning, course development, and quality improvement
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and QA activities
* Maintain accurate student records, progress tracking, and assessment documentation
Essential Requirements
* Enhanced DBS clearance
* Recognised Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
* Teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one)
* Industry experience as a qualified electrician with up-to-date knowledge
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusion
