Were searching for an experienced Marketing Executive to join our Marketing team. The purpose of Marketing at STARK UK is to build and manage the portfolio of business brands to drive awareness, engagement, loyalty, sales and enviable market share, so that the company achieves its ambition to be the UK’s leading builders’ merchants.

As a Marketing function that works in close collaboration with Corporate Communications and the broader business, to build our brands, we also need to build trust and belief in STARK UK’s transformation, to position ourselves as the UK’s leading builders’ merchant.


Responsibilities

* Build an environment in which colleagues are informed, involved and valued, fostering a culture where they thrive in their performance, feeling a deep sense of belonging and pride in working for STARK UK and their respective business area.
* Build the STARK UK corporate and business brands for customers, so they actively value the products, expertise and services we offer, buying more and more frequently, keeping in regular touch with branch teams.
* Partner with Category to build our STARK UK corporate and business brands with suppliers, so they advocate for us and we grow our businesses together.
* Manage the media through issues and crises.
* Through media and industry platforms, position STARK UK, its brands and leaders in a targeted way to support the overall strategic, positioning business wins, thought leadership, community work and industry awards to build reputational credibility and trust.
* Partner with HR to attract, retain and reward the best talent in the industry, with a compelling employer brand and full‑lifecycle colleague experience.
* Build strong community engagement and societal reputation, as a company that cares and partners to enable meaningful positive change and wellbeing on industry‑relevant platforms.
* Establish good communications governance that underpins strong stakeholder engagement and investor support.


Key Result Areas

* Be proactive in your approach to supporting the branch network
* Plan, implement and analyze campaigns and packages to support our branch network
* Manage and action inbound marketing queries from the business
* Support with the management of branch plans to meet their varying objectives
* Work with supporting agencies to actively manage the STARK UK business brands’ development.
* Support the Social Media Manager with content where required
* Management of our branch digital screen platform + development of screen content
* Manage the business’ MarketingHub ensuring it is up to date and visible to the network
* Be visible in the branch network by spending time in our regions to gain a better understanding of colleague and customer requirements
* Support the Marketing Operations Manager + Marketing Operations Director in developing branch turnaround plans and their implementation with the rest of the team.
* Support, where required and in line with the national frameworks, sponsorship, hospitality, and loyalty programme frameworks, ensuring they are adopted and adhered to.
* Support the Marketing Manager (Operations) + Marketing Operations Director in business partnering the Regional Directors and their teams.


Qualifications & Experience

* Previous marketing experience preferable
* Comfortable to manage and work with pace and focus during a period of significant transformation, using own initiative.
* Ability to manage high volumes of work and multiple, competing priorities in a professional and efficient manner.
* Experience in handling customer complaints and queries
* Solid knowledge of customer relationship and stakeholder management, and content management systems.
* Will need to be available for ad‑hoc out of hours work.
* UK travel required therefore you MUST hold a valid UK driving licence and have your own transport. The expectation is you will be at one of our branches one day per week and this is UK wide.
