About The Role
We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team at our centrally located Nottingham Head Office. The office is close to the City centre, with good links to the bus and tram network and the local train station.
You will be an experienced operational HR Advisor or HR Assistant supporting the HR function by providing practical, solution-focused advice on general HR and People matters, with a strong background in Employee Relations and case work.
You will serve as the go-to person for managers, offering expert advice and support regarding HR policies and procedures, ensuring their proper implementation. Additionally, you will be involved in upskilling management capabilities and coaching managers on employee relations cases and people development. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to provide pragmatic solutions to business challenges.
Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
* Managing generalist HR responsibilities across the organisation in collaboration with the HR Manager.
* Supporting line managers with Employee Relations casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, flexible working requests, and performance management.
* Providing comprehensive HR support to employees and managers across the region, promoting best HR practices.
* Managing recruitment processes, including job postings on job boards and social media, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
* Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring their effectiveness and compliance with employment law.
* Supporting learning and development initiatives within the business.
This role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to other sites, which may require overnight stays. A full driving license is essential.
What We Need From You
* Sound knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
* Ideally CIPD Level 3 qualified or equivalent (desirable, not essential).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to handle confidential information sensitively and professionally.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Willingness to be office-based with occasional travel to different sites.
* Valid UK driving license.
