Description Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Electrical Designer (contract). The role will be working at our Reading office on a large FEED for a gas related project in the Middle East. The Role As a Electrical Designer you will be delivering electrically related documentation on a autonomous basis with minimal oversight of the project Engineering team. Responsibilities Cable Routing Design (above and below ground) General Electrical Equipment Layouts including Sub-station Layouts Single Line Diagrams / protection schemes Hazardous Area Layouts 3D Modelling Power and Earthing Layouts Cable & Drum Schedules Schematic / Connection Diagrams Earthing Systems Lighting System Design (including lighting design software application) Qualifications What makes you remarkable? Expected: HNC in Electrical Engineering, or related subject A proven track record in the following project phases: FEED, Detailed Engineering (EPC) Be technically strong and have experience within the Oil and Gas and Power transmission industry (Overhead lines and buried HV / MV / LV cables) Ability to review client specification and develop techno economic optimised design solutions Computer literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills Previous Saudi Aramco experience
