Head of School Location – Thrapston Salary – up to £45,000 depending on experience Full Time – Permanent position Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity to work with an Alternative Provision Secondary school based in Thrapston. The school cater for KS3-KS4 pupils with SEMH needs. Roles and Responsibilities Be accountable for the operational running of the school, the team, and students including the delivery of an effective curriculum and pastoral support. Uphold, promote and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures. Contribute to a positive ethos for learning. Ensure delivery of an exciting, stimulating, and broad curriculum. Overtly promote the values and achievements of the school to the community. Promote and secure a range of high quality extra-curricular activities within the school. Undertake such reasonable activities as the Head Teacher, and leadership teams may, from time to time, require. Secure assessment and attainment tracking to inform teaching and learning. To be enforce the company Safeguarding Policies. Have and create high expectations of staff and students. Provide senior support to staff in all aspects of behaviour management. Qualifications and Education Requirements Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) Degree or equivalent NPQSL and/or NPQH (desirable) Preferred skills A highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic person who is approachable and promotes positive relationships and has high expectations. Effective management, administrative and organisational skills. Ability to effectively manage student discipline and have a commitment to a high level of pastoral care. Working successfully in partnership with parents and the wider community. Experience of dealing with students of a challenging nature.
