This is an exciting role in the Hazardous Waste team to provide leadership ensuring that the regime is sustainably resourced, meets all aspects reviewed through internal audit, and remains fit for the future.
Role duties and responsibilities include:
* Forming a holistic review of hazardous waste charge funding and outcomes, including options for improvements.
* Implementing recommendations from this review, which may include:
* Assessing distribution of monies
* Evaluating KPIs
* Conceiving and delivering different ways of working
Other responsibilities may include:
* Taking forward recommendations of internal delivery audits
* Supporting the implementation of Improving Regulation
* Driving Area Hazardous Waste activity and increasing visibility
The team
The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing team within the Regime Regulation team of E&B Waste & Resources Regulation. We lead on hazardous waste, supporting government, industry, and colleagues to ensure hazardous waste is managed correctly.

The role is based at an EA Office location, with flexible/hybrid working arrangements. Some travel and overnight stays may be required.
