Teacher of Humanities Location: Leicester, Leicestershire Start Date: September / August 2025 (or sooner) Contract: Full‑time or Part‑time; Fixed‑term with potential to go permanent (School‑specific) Key Stages: KS3 & KS4 (11–16 years); possibility of KS5 involvement Salary: MPR / UPR (e.g. £31,650–£43,600 for MPS; £45,600–£49,000 for UPS, depending on experience) Closing Date: [Specify date—e.g. early June 2025] About the Role We are seeking a motivated, creative, and student‑centered Humanities Teacher—specialising in History, Geography, and/or Religious Studies—to inspire learners across Key Stage 3 and 4 (and optionally KS5). You’ll deliver dynamic lessons, foster critical thinking and respectful debate, and help all students reach their best outcomes. What You’ll Do Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging humanities lessons in line with national curriculum and exam syllabi. Use data and assessment feedback to track student progress and inform teaching. Create an inclusive classroom where all learners feel supported and challenged. Apply effective behaviour management strategies aligned to the school’s ethos. Work with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to curriculum development. Participate in wider school life—parents’ evenings, clubs, trips, and CPD.
