Technical Sales Representative

Are you a confident communicator with a passion for customer service and an interest in technical products? We’re working with a well-established manufacturing and engineering business that’s looking to add a Technical Sales Representative to its growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, supportive environment where you’ll play a key role in managing customer enquiries, preparing quotes, and ensuring an exceptional client experience from start to finish.
About the Role
As a Technical Sales Representative, you’ll be part of a busy office-based sales team. Your focus will be on supporting existing customers, responding to technical and sales enquiries, and processing orders efficiently. You’ll also liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth communication and outstanding service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly to customer queries via phone and email, providing detailed technical information and quotations.
* Process orders accurately and manage follow-up communication with clients.
* Identify new sales opportunities and pass leads to the wider team.
* Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Attend regular in-house product and technical training sessions.
About You
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a customer-focused role and enjoys understanding technical products and systems.
You’ll need:
* Proven experience in customer service, sales support, or a similar role.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Strong organisation and multitasking abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
* A proactive and adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn.
* Experience with ERP systems and/or reading technical drawings would be a plus.
