We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. We have strong values and we're proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going 'the extra mile' for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:
Who will you be supporting?

We are all very mobile and enjoy getting out and about has much as we can, we all have different levels of support required to live independently in our accommodation.
We are a mental health service that provides a person centric care planning approach and support.
Some of us have complex care needs and challenging behaviours.
All our staff have been trained to the highest of standards to enable them to deliver centred person support, staff also so have access to ongoing training to enhance their knowledge but also to enhance the support that we provide here at Ruscombe Apartments
We love to get out and about in the local community, we enjoy attending any community-based services that are available to us.
We enjoy meeting in our communal room, we may do some arts and crafts, cooking, and themed styled parties e.g., Halloween, Christmas etc.
We love to have fun, we love to do some gardening in the summer and sit out in the garden
We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
