Role Overview:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant or Finance Assistant seeking a flexible, part-time role within a collaborative and friendly team. You will support a wide range of finance activities, contributing to the smooth running of day-to-day operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:
* Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
* Manage purchase ledger processes, ensuring invoices are coded, authorised, and paid on time
* Support credit control activities, including monitoring debtor balances and resolving queries
* Assist with financial reporting, audits, and general finance team support
Requirements of the Assistant Accountant:
* Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant, or similar role
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is advantageous
