Job Description
WSP is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Project Manager to join the Roads team based in Truro. Your role will involve managing highways projects for public and private sector clients across the UK, overseeing planning, design, and construction stages.
Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of highways projects, ensuring compliance with quality management systems and driving efficiencies.
* Provide guidance and support to a team of technical staff of various grades.
* Contribute to the development of the team’s internal knowledge base and mentor junior staff.
* Plan, execute, monitor, and control projects with limited supervision, managing project changes.
* Undertake contract management and administration under various contracts.
* Work with a diverse range of clients including local authorities, infrastructure agencies, and private developers.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers supported remotely from India.
* Manage multiple projects and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
* Professional qualification in project management and/or engineering.
* Degree in a STEM discipline.
* NEC accreditation and experience in NEC Contract management.
* Membership of professional institutions such as APM, PMI, RICS, or MICE.
* Experience in highway/linear infrastructure projects is beneficial but not essential.
* Strong stakeholder management, risk, planning, and commercial skills.
* Proficiency with project management tools and software.
* Experience with Designers Duties under CDM regulations.
