Teaching Assistant Opportunity | Reading | Full-Time A welcoming and supportive primary school in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team this September. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support both individual pupils and small groups. You will play a vital role in ensuring that children remain engaged in their learning, make good progress, and develop confidence in their abilities. Key Responsibilities Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils in Key Stage 1, helping them to stay focused and achieve their potential. Collaborate with the class teacher to design and deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Adapt and prepare resources to meet a range of learning needs and styles. Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging participation, confidence, and a love of learning. Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to teaching staff to support effective lesson planning. Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Candidate Requirements: Previous experience working in a school or educational support role is desirable but not essential. A genuine passion for supporting the development of young children. Excellent communication skills, patience, and a proactive attitude. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service, or the willingness to obtain one. The legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
