The role: Multi Skilled Engineer (gas bias)
A multiskilled engineer is required to effectively manage and maintain building systems, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the facilities they oversee. Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring all test equipment is calibrated, maintained, and compliant with current regulations.
2. Ensuring all PPE is in good condition and used appropriately.
3. Familiarity with operational safety and regulations, especially for systems such as pressure, water, and gas.
4. Being aware of all relevant risk assessments and conducting dynamic risk assessments prior to any work.
5. Performing daily building walks to identify faults, report, and rectify them within SLA, ensuring the building maintains its initial condition.
6. Diagnosing and repairing various building maintenance issues.
7. Accurately recording all work activities, reactive and corrective jobs.
8. Reviewing and updating asset data on the CMMS using the provided mobile tools.
9. Promoting and maintaining CBRE's core values at all times.
10. Liaising with the Helpdesk to ensure appropriate response to planned and reactive tasks.
11. Supporting the CBRE team and BT Customer to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
12. Undertaking Control of Works Authorised Person (AP) training and supporting the identification of other APs and Competent Persons (CPs).
13. Participating in an emergency call-out service as per the Out of Hours rota.
14. Performing other duties related to CBRE service delivery as directed by management.
15. Producing reports as required for the Asset Operations Manager (AOM).
16. Maintaining stock levels of spares as needed.
Person Specification:
* Technical training (NVQ3 or equivalent) in more than one discipline (AC, Plumbing, Mechanical, Gas, etc.).
* Must hold a commercial gas qualification.
* Must hold a City and Guilds Level 3 technical certificate or equivalent in an electrical discipline.
* Must hold a City and Guilds 2382 Level 3 certificate in electrical installations BS 7671 (18th Edition) or equivalent.
* Previous experience in facilities management.
* Organised, able to prioritise and deliver under high-pressure, business-critical environments.
* Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical delivery for client satisfaction.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
* Customer-focused, considering the impact of actions on customers and team members.
