SEN Tutor – Thurrock
£20–£30 per hour | Flexible hours
We are seeking experienced and passionate SEN Tutors to work with children and young people across Thurrock.
You will be supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD and Dyslexia, delivering high-quality, personalised tuition that helps learners build confidence and make progress.
The Role
* Assess students’ current attainment and individual needs
* Plan and deliver a tailored scheme of work
* Provide engaging English and Maths tuition
* Adapt teaching approaches to suit each learner
* Deliver sessions in the student’s home, local centre, or school
* Work with learners from EYFS to Post-16 (experience in any part of this range is welcome)
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a minimum of 3 years’ tutoring experience
* Proven experience working with students with SEN
* Strong subject knowledge in English and/or Maths
* Patient, reliable, and student-centred approach
* Ability to plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons independently

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
