👩🏫 The Role
As an experienced DT Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Resistant Materials across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

Plan and lead practical projects that develop students’ confidence in working with woods, metals, plastics, and emerging materials.
*
Promote high standards of health and safety in the workshop and foster a culture of responsibility and creativity.
*
Support the ongoing development of the DT curriculum, bringing new ideas and industry relevance to your teaching.
*
Monitor student progress effectively, provide constructive feedback, and differentiate lessons to support all learners.
*
Play an active role in extra-curricular opportunities such as design clubs, competitions, and cross-curricular STEM projects.
✅ What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has a strong track record of teaching Resistant Materials or Product Design.
*
Brings substantial classroom experience, with a clear understanding of effective workshop practice and project-based learning.
*
Has excellent subject knowledge, particularly in the use of traditional and modern materials and tools, including CAD/CAM.
*
Is committed to high standards, inclusive teaching, and continual professional development.
*
Can contribute to departmental leadership or mentor colleagues if appropriate to their experience.
