Our client is recruiting an Approved Workshop Engineer to assist the Engine Workshop Team Leader in ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and performance of engine maintenance activities, which are essential for delivering customer contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain engines according to manufacturer and company maintenance procedures.
2. Investigate and repair faults reported or found on engines.
3. Provide on-wing engine support at base and possibly detached locations.
4. Ensure engine work pack documentation is accurately maintained and progressed during maintenance activities.
5. Maintain and promote workshop cleanliness standards.
6. Complete all tasks in accordance with current safety and quality standards and procedures.
7. Perform strip, clean, inspection, build, and test of engines as directed by the workshop team leader.
8. Communicate effectively and liaise with related departments such as Engineering Control, Line, and Base Maintenance.
9. Promote a safety, legislative, and cost-awareness culture.
10. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the business.
11. Possess sound knowledge of gas turbine operations.
12. Understand regulatory requirements related to Part 145 maintenance.
13. Work with and use precision measuring tools effectively.
14. Work to tight tolerances and high standards of engineering finishing.
15. Be team-oriented with good communication skills.
16. Be self-motivated, confident, and assertive.
17. Adhere to organizational values.
18. Be medically fit to perform daily engineering duties, including detached work.
19. Obtain security clearance to meet UK and ITAR requirements.
20. Have previous experience within an engine workshop.
21. Additional aircraft maintenance or workshop experience is advantageous.
