Days: Monday to Friday - Term Time Only
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Pay Rate: £110 - £130 per day

Are you passionate about supporting students who face behavioural or emotional challenges in mainstream education? A 'Good' rated secondary school in Dudley is looking for a committed Inclusion & Isolation Manager to join their pastoral team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering weekly CPD, free school meals, and a chance to work in a genuinely supportive environment.
About the Role:
The Inclusion & Isolation Manager plays a crucial part in helping students overcome barriers to learning caused by behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. You'll manage the school's isolation provision and provide targeted support to help pupils re-engage with their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the day-to-day running of the isolation and behaviour support room
2. Respond directly to behaviour incidents and support staff with on-call behaviour call outs
3. Meet and greet students placed in isolation, setting the tone for calm and reflection
4. Provide pastoral care and guidance to students facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
5. Maintain a calm, structured, and respectful environment, applying the school's behaviour policies fairly
6. Carry out student assessments to determine personalised support and intervention needs
7. Deliver 1:1 mentoring and small group sessions to address behavioural issues
8. Give students regular feedback on their behaviour, attendance, and academic engagement
9. Identify and recommend curriculum adjustments where needed to support behaviour management
10. Work closely with the SENCO on SEND students requiring additional behavioural support
11. Observe classroom behaviour and advise teachers on tailored strategies, including IEPBs
12. Support Heads of Year in developing and delivering small group and individual mentoring plans
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience working with secondary-aged students with behavioural or SEMH needs
2. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
3. Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and assertively
4. A proactive, nurturing approach to supporting vulnerable learners
5. Experience working within a pastoral, behavioural or inclusion-based role is highly desirable
