Overview
Junior Heat Pump Engineer - We are currently working with one of the UKs primary developers, installers and operators of Clean Heat Networks and Heat Pumps solutions. They are seeking a Junior Installation Engineer to join the team, assisting with installation works at their projects. You will work alongside the Senior Installers and Installation Manager to complete the installation of Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps at High End Domestic and Commercial Premises. The company works at both individual stand alone sites, as well as installing their innovative “Ground Source Heat Pump Networks” - on which a large number of houses can be connected to the same central network. This role involves the installation of Heat Pumps in individual residential properties as well as integration to wider Heat Networks. You will be installing large diameter pipework, Heat Pumps, Heat Interface Units, fusion weld pipework, pre-insulted pipework and more. Your role will also include the installation of basic electrical work to various parts of the heat pump systems and fixing any problems that may arise. Training can be provided on all areas you are not familiar with.
As a Junior Installation Engineer, your time will be split between multiple projects. The company uses their network of dedicated Sub-Contractors for most projects; your role will be to attend projects and assist these teams when there are delays, difficult elements of the project which require your expertise and filling in to support where needed. The company is going through a period of significant growth and can support your development with training and progression opportunities. The role itself is based around Northern Home Counties, Oxfordshire and up towards the lower Midlands but there is occasional projects further afield. There may be overnight stays required on occasion; however all accommodation and expenses will be paid for, as well as a sustenance allowance for each day.
Responsibilities
* Assist with installation works at projects, working alongside Senior Installers and the Installation Manager.
* Install Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps at high-end domestic and commercial premises.
* Install large diameter pipework, Heat Interface Units, fusion weld pipework, pre-insulated pipework and other related components.
* Carry out basic electrical work related to heat pump systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
* Collaborate with the network of Sub-Contractors and provide support on delays or complex elements of projects.
* Participate in training opportunities to develop skills across installation areas.
* Work across multiple projects with occasional overnight stays, with accommodation and expenses covered.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, Heating or Engineering (equivalent).
* Experience with Heat Pump systems.
* Full UK Licence.
* Happy to stay away when required (all expenses covered).
