The Quality Improvement Data Manager / Joint Commission Survey Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory criteria, deadlines, and reporting requirements. This role manages clinical indicator databases, oversees data reporting including CMS Pay-for-Reporting, Value-Based Purchasing, and TJC core measures. Proficiency in basic biostatistics is essential for performance trend analysis and quality initiatives. The individual will correct data inaccuracies, ensure timely submissions, and support quality and pay-for-performance projects. Collaboration with IT to develop and maintain data systems, and maintaining confidentiality are critical. The role also involves preparing for regulatory surveys and managing accreditation processes to meet CMS, TJC, and DPH standards, as well as coordinating data collection and analysis for various public reporting metrics.
Responsibilities:
* Assist senior leadership in strategic planning and daily supervision of quality activities.
* Handle administrative tasks including budgeting and Kronos.
* Set project timelines, coordinate action plans, and monitor results aligned with strategic goals.
* Lead accreditation activities, including CMS and TJC surveys.
* Support compliance with regulatory standards and develop department scorecards.
* Mentor staff and evaluate performance through statistical analysis.
* Develop reports and support data analysis for quality improvement.
* Coordinate quality data system implementation and training.
* Participate in safety assessments and service excellence programs.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years in healthcare with experience in CMS and TJC data sets and supervisory roles.
* Proficiency in data software (Excel, Access, Meditech, MIDAS+ DataVision, etc.) and statistical analysis.
* Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
* Bachelor’s in Nursing or Healthcare; Master’s preferred. R.N. license in MA preferred. CPHQ certification is a plus.
