SHEQ Manager Manufacturing (Fabrication) | Full-Time, Permanent Location: Bilston Hours: 37.5 hours/week (some evenings and weekends may be required) Contract: Permanent Salary: Competitive - £55,000 PA Depending on experience Join a Leader in Manufacturing Excellence We are seeking a proactive and experienced SHEQ Manager to lead Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality practices within a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a pivotal role focused on driving compliance, reducing operational risk, and promoting a strong health and safety culture across production teams and sites. What we need Health & Safety Leadership: Develop and implement best-in-class health and safety policies. Lead PUWER compliance initiatives and ensure machinery safety assessments are robust and effective. Conduct risk assessments and embed control measures to reduce workplace hazards. Provide day-to-day guidance to production teams on safe working practices. Manage investigations, incident reporting, and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Environmental & Quality Oversight Support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives. Ensure quality systems align with customer and regulatory expectations. Support ISO certification and audit processes. Compliance & Training Keep abreast of legislation (including PUWER, COSHH) and ensure compliance. Liaise with regulatory authorities as needed. Deliver tailored training programs to production staff focused on safety awareness and machinery compliance. Performance & Continuous Improvement Monitor and report on key SHEQ metrics. Identify performance trends and lead improvement strategies. Engage with stakeholders across departments to promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and best practice. Skills we require: Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations in a manufacturing setting. Demonstrable experience leading PUWER compliance and safety programs. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proven ability to train, mentor, and influence teams toward safer working practices. A proactive and analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
