Are you ready to work on cutting‑edge concept development within Research & Technology? Expleo UK is expanding its design capability and now has 3 opportunities for Design Engineers to join a high‑performing team supporting one of the most exciting New Single Aisle development initiatives in the aerospace sector.
You’ll be working on early‑stage concept and trade studies across key structural zones including the Wing to Fuse (Root Joint), MLGSS, Trailing Edge, and Leading Edge using CATIA and 3DX to deliver innovative modelling and space allocation solutions.

Responsibilities
* Deliver design support for New Single Aisle R&T structural concept development
* Create high‑quality CAD models and perform space allocation modelling using CATIA / 3DX
* Contribute to trade studies across:
o Single Aisle Root Joint
o Main Landing Gear Support Structure (MLGSS)
o Trailing Edge concept options
o Leading Edge concept options
* Work collaboratively as part of a multi‑discipline design team
* Participate in onsite workshops and working sessions (1–2 days per week in Bristol preferred)
* Support the generation of early‑stage design concepts and feasibility assessments
* Ensure work aligns with internal processes, quality standards, and R&T design methodologies
Qualifications
* Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
* CAD training or certification beneficial but not essential
Essential Skills
* Strong CATIA experience (V5 and/or 3DX)
* Ability to perform detailed space allocation modelling
* Solid understanding of structural design metallic or composite
* Collaborative, proactive working style suited to early‑stage R&T design
* Ability to attend onsite sessions in Bristol on a weekly basis (preferred)
Desired Skills
* Exposure to R&T environments or concept‑level design activities
* Familiarity with composite design or CPD
Experience
* Experience working on wing structures or landing‑gear‑related structural zones
* Prior experience modelling in trade‑study settings
What Do I Need Before I Apply
* Weekly Hours: 37 hours per week
* Start: Immediate
* Duration: Until end of October 2026
* Outside IR35
* Hybrid onsite 1–2 days per week Bristol
