Role / Job Title: PSA Engineer Distribution_ADMS Work Location: Edinburgh / Remote (Hybrid) The Role PSA Engineer ADMS Your Responsibilities: The PSA Engineer will be responsible for meeting business objectives by developing practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals, coordinating with cross-functional teams and driving closure on customer issues raised on ADMS & AEMS products.
Responsible for addressing customer issues and concerns with ADMS applications such as SCADA, DMS, OMS, etc.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects within the ADMS platform in a timely and effective manner.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to investigate, diagnose, and resolve any issues impacting system performance or functionality.
Provide ongoing support for defect management and work on root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
Run scripts for FAT, SAT testing, and perform post-analysis, investigation, and categorisation of defects.
Manage the setup and configuration of ADMS replication groups to ensure data consistency and system synchronisation across multiple environments.
Implement best practices for replication, ensuring high availability, data integrity, and disaster recovery capabilities.
Monitor replication performance and troubleshoot issues related to data replication across systems.
Understand customer application modelling needs and design metamodels and transformation of data to target database formats with strong understanding of CIM.
Work with customers on model migration and conversion of data to formats needed for advanced Power Systems Applications.
Implement EMS, ADMS, and SCADA systems.
Contribute to and lead advanced Power Systems Application software development and delivery to meet project/product commitments.
Engage with customers, mainly Electric Utilities for Transmission and Distribution System Operators.
Work on defining functional software specifications, designing, coding, testing, integration, delivery, and maintenance.
Provide domain knowledge and/or technical leadership to a team of electric power application software engineers.
Lead and contribute to electric power application development and ensure software delivery is on schedule and as per customer expectations.
Your Profile Essential Skills / Knowledge / Experience: ADMS, DMS, Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Volt Var Control or IVVC, FLISR or FDIR, OMS Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Experience: Direct experience installing, maintaining, or supporting ADMS products including DMS Applications, DNAF, OMS, Storm Assist, and DER.
Design, implement, and optimize ADMS solutions to meet business needs and improve operational efficiency.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure ADMS solutions are aligned with organizational goals and requirements.
Continuously evaluate and enhance ADMS capabilities, ensuring high availability and performance.
Lead the deployment of new ADMS systems and upgrades to enhance system functionality and performance.
Oversee the planning, execution, and testing of ADMS deployments and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Ensure smooth and timely transition to upgraded versions, following best practices and industry standards.
Experience with development of the ADMS product.
Familiarity with User Interface, SCADA, and Modelling tools.
Knowledge of both Transmission and Distribution electrical grids.
Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL, Jasper Report, and Cassandra.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, IP addressing, routing, LAN, DNS, Active Directory, firewalls, and switches as it applies to isolating and resolving reported issues in these areas.
Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
Knowledge of NERC CIP Standards.
Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively interface with customers and cross-functional teams.
